Winners of the Year 10 poster competition! Part 2

By Yuval Israel, Year 12

As stated in the last article (Winners of the Year 10 poster competition!) This past school year, the Year 10 mentor classes have conducted research on different types of addictions. By engaging in groups, they have created artsy posters which include different constructive methods to treat addictions!

Alcohol addiction

The winners of Mme Mazolo’s class are Ben Taylor and Oliver Train. In their poster, they highlighted how this unique drug, which has been commonly accepted by most countries, can alter a person’s brain state. They highlighted the behavioral changes which can affect a person if too much alcohol is consumed, leading to harmful consequences.

Vaping addiction

The winners of Mr Vinatier’s class are Tamara Azmy, Clémentine Vogel and Tara Doni. Their poster accentuated the chemical composition of vapes and the potential risk of a student becoming too dependent on nicotine. Furthemore, their poster conveyed how nicotine affects the human body and how it excites our nervous systems, demonstrating the danger of addiction from E-cigarettes.

The winners of Mme Giboz’s class are Taiah Al-Habal, Esmat Azmy and Vittoria Torri. Coincidentally, they also created an insightful poster on the dangers of vaping. Here they focused on how we can get help to treat addictions, whether it be from close friends or from professional help.

Cigarette addiction

The winners of Mme Lozat’s class are Salomé Machover Osmond, Loulwa El-Ayache and Daphné Maldonado De Diego. Like poster on vaping, this group worked together to explain the dangerous effects of nicotine on the body but also explained why we try smoking and even continue later on.
