Dear La Grande Boissière and the Ecolint community,
My name is Léon Mathysen-Gerst, I am a Year 11 student who has been at Ecolint for over a decade trying to be more involved with everything Ecolint has to offer, along with my co-writer and close friend Sandro Mlitzke, we will be writing a new section in the LGB Express called “University Visits and Information”. This segment will cover all university visits at LGB (online or in person), including Q and A’s with the presenters and detailed summaries, starting in 2024. As my International Baccalaureate journey is on the near horizon, I thought it crucial to be knowledgeable regarding universities and how to choose my subjects accordingly, while simultaneously developing my writing skills.
Mr. Mlitzke and I will write about the universities that visit, giving a rating based on homogenous criteria which include: university rankings, extracurricular opportunities, location and following career possibilities. We will equally be summarising main points, requirements, and background information, finally we will be having Q and A’s with university representatives to answer any questions that you, the readers may have, which can be submitted by emails or through the LGB Express website.
