The sun shines ever-so-slightly stronger and the need for hoodies and jackets slowly dies down. As we finish the Spring break, the students of Ecolint are back on track to do one last final stretch of school before the long-awaited summer holidays. Birds chirp louder and green starts seeping into every plant around us.
Personally, I enjoy all the seasons with a preference for warmth, of course. The feeling of being able to walk around in just a t-shirt, soaking your face in the rays of sun. Is there truly anything better than that? Well, why not ask the people we go to school with every day. I’m sure the diverse student body of Ecolint will have a different opinion than me. Or not?
What is your favorite time of year and why?
“My favorite time of year is autumn. I love the aesthetic and the overall vibe that comes with it. Halloween, the falling leaves, slow transition into winter. Honestly, who doesn’t like autumn?”
“Summer. I like being able to tan and I enjoy going to the beach as well. Not to mention we don’t have school which is the best part. I can sail which I love and lounge near the Lac Leman.”
“Winter. It’s so cozy with Christmas and thanksgiving and New Year’s. I like it not only because it’s beautiful, I like it because every winter I fly home and visit my family. That’s why it’s so special to me.”
“My favorite is definitely summer. I hate winter – just had to say that. During summer we don’t have schools, you don’t get sick, you hang out with friends as much as you want. What more could you want?”
Are you excited for summer?
“Yea, finally having holidays is something that I’ve been looking forward to. I also can’t wait to visit the lake and go on vacation somewhere. “
