We are running for STUCO because we want to make a difference, to give all unheard and heard alike a voice.” These distinctive qualities definitely differentiate them from the other teams running, a trait also mirrored in their ideas.

Following a targeted campaign on Instagram and Snapchat (@atom_stuco), along with their upcoming video, the group sequentially revealed their plans for the coming year. They proposed to introduce a prom to the LGB community, to mirror those often seen in American high school movies. The team also suggested to strengthen school spirit by having more information on school sports events for supporters, and through the introduction of Volleyball and Badminton leagues.

Following an interview, they also revealed a multitude of ideas that they didn’t mention in their video, such as “a university style treasure hunt, an idea poll every term, an American style science fair, a spirit week in the style of the decades, video game nights and bringing a foosball table to the Centre des Arts” This vast array of ideas certainly contributes to an already strong candidate for this year’s STUCO!

They mentioned that these ideas are what makes Atom STUCO truly unique: “Our ideas are low budget and easily achievable. We won’t promise things we cannot do. We will bring a suggestion box so that all of your ideas can be heard and answered. We are not like every other STUCO before, and we are very responsible.”

When asked what makes Atom STUCO so special, they addressed the question of when their ‘Big push’ will be, by saying “We won’t have one, and that’s exactly it. We are relying on our ideas to get us voted, so we haven’t had a big campaign move to call attention to us.”

With a unique advertising plan and large quantity of ideas and skills to bring to STUCO, the team seem eager and prepared for the elections! With all the revelations now clear, the only question left is who will you be voting for in the forthcoming election?
